Welcome to Copenhagen
The Danish Baker Street Irregulars are very happy to welcome the members of the
Sherlock Holmes Society of London to an interesting afternoon in Copenhagen
Where are we? |
 |
Yep, right here! |
Programme for the afternoon:
With special thanks to The British Embassy, The Storm P. Museum, Carlsberg Brewery and the many people who have helped us make this possible.
| Approx: 2.30pm: |
Arrival. Your ship docks at Langelinie.
We will be at the quay when you arrive. (Only us - no symphony orchestra. Sorry!)
Depart Langelinie by bus. |
| 3.00pm: |
Visit to the Historical Museum of Carlsberg Breweries |
| 4.00pm: |
Stroll in the nearby Royal Horticultural Society's Garden and/or visit to the (also nearby) Storm P Museum.
Storm P was a great humorist and cartoonist who produced several illustrations of Sherlock Holmes.
He also had a collection of 450 pipes. |
| 4.45pm: |
From the Storm P. Museum bus back to Nyhavn in the heart of Copenhagen.
PLEASE NOTE: It's very important not to be late for the bus. It's rush hour and we have an appointment in town. |
| 5.15pm: |
Canal Tour with a Sherlockian theme and hopefully a little SURPRISE at the end of the trip. |
| 6.30pm: |
Copenhagen Harbour: A drink and a snack followed by a leisurely stroll back to the ship
along the sea front passing the old citadel and the Little Mermaid |
From here, the programme is mostly yours.
We sincerely thank you for the invitation to join you for dinner on the ship |
 |
| 8.10pm: |
Lido Lounge: Reception attended by party |
| 8.30pm: |
Restaurant: Dinner and....
we hope to have another Sherlockian surprise for you :-) |
| 10.30pm: |
Show Room: After dinner show (we from Denmark are very curious about this item) |
| 12. Midnight: |
Good bye - have a splendid trip round the Baltic Sea! |
Should you want to go on your own, Copenhagen offers a wealth of museums, shops and cosy cafes. We will have city maps etc. for you.
When any of you return to Copenhagen for a holiday, just write us a letter or e-mail and we'd be happy to show you more of the city.
Here are some links, inspiration for a future reunion, perhaps?
It's a JAVA script and please be patient since it takes some time to load.
