![]() The Danish Baker Street Irregulars has two scion societies:
The Cimbrian Friends of Baker Street is a Scion Society of The Danish BSI located in northern Jutland. The CFBS was founded in the late '50s by Henry Lauritzen and Aage Rieck Sørensen, among others. By 1960 it was agreed to establish the society as an official Scion Society, and the famous constitutional laws were made, of which the following clauses remain: § 2. The society's aim is to be an active part of the international Sherlock Holmes research. The members commit themselves to holding speeches, issuing research results, publishing treatises, and by means of conversation influencing the public opinion - by land, by water, and by air - alltogether with the aim of bringing a greater and broader understanding of the Canon to the public. § 4. All meetings are held in the Great Hall of Aalborg Congress & Cultural Centre, unless exemption is given. § 5. Exemption is allways given. You are invited to visit The Cimbrian Friends of Baker Street's own web site ![]()
'The Gang', as we used to call ourselves, was founded June 7th 2000 by 8 enthusiastic Sherlockians in the Copenhagen area. We chose this name because:
The purpose is, like the Danish BSI, to strengthen the Sherlock Holmes research
and the interest in Sherlock Holmes in Denmark by discussions and exchange of ideas.
We gather 4-6 times a year for an informal meeting. Furthermore we arrange 4-5 film sessions a year. For further informationabout 'The Gang' or the next meeting contact Mia StampeOr, if the language is no problem, read about our activities in the Danish Version
