THE SHERLOCK HOLMES MUSEUM.

The exhibition contains mostly books about Sherlock Holmes - including pamphlets, booklets, comics, grammophone records, articles, pictures and so on.
In all modesty the collection is probably among the biggest in Europe.
Apart from the written testimonies about the Master Detective we also have several artifacts  - figures, dolls, mugs, stamps, lapel pins and other things pertaining to Sherlock Holmes. For instance a brick from 221 B Baker Street, Holmes’ violin, his persian slipper in which he kept his tobacco, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s suitcase and a small vial of sand from the Reichenbach Falls where Holmes fought against his arch enemy Professor Moriarty, the Napoleon of Crime.
The books cannot bo borrowed but must be seen/read at the premises. We have a comfortable easy chair, smoking is allowed, and usually we can also provide you with a cup of coffee or a beer.
Furthermore we have a Xerox, so shorter articles can be copied. The price is 1 kr. pr. copy.
